Great List of Historical Documentaries
Check out this wonderful list of historical documentaries on my friend's blog! Stay and look around her blog. Lisa is a second generation homeschooler and has a lovely family that includes natural and adopted children.
Bringing the historical works of Jacob Abbott to a new generation...
I love history. I didn't love history in school. My love of history came with the education of my own children. Through the years, I have discovered that history is best learned through stories. Dry textbooks that dissect history and reduce it to little more than bits and pieces of names and dates are the reason that most people find history tedious and boring and irrelevant. Living books about real people and real events make history come alive. Come share my delight in meeting the real people that populate our history books!
Hello! I'm a Texas born, Florida bred southern girl whose husband has moved us all around the eastern half of the US. We have lived and homeschooled in MD, WI, AR, DE, AL and NC. I love it here in the greater Charlotte area. Nice weather, nicer people and lots of great homeschool activities. We have four children, ages 8 to 21, whom we have always homeschooled.
